2017's World Car of the Year awards saw the Jaguar F-PACE—the automaker's first-ever SUV—take home not one, but two incredibly prestigious awards: the World Car of the Year award, as well as the World Car Design of the Year award. As you can imagine, the team at indiGO Auto Group – Desert European Motorcars Campus is pretty excited about both of them, nor are we the only ones.
Mike Rutherford, who was one of the judges, said: “Jaguar has done the unthinkable by first securing the World Car Design of the Year award, then lifting the big one – the overall World Car of the Year trophy. With F-PACE, the British company and its proud and talented workers have taken on and beaten far bigger, wealthier European, Asian and North American rivals.”
Dr. Ralf Speth, Jaguar Land Rover CEO, also had great things to say about the model. “The F-PACE was designed and engineered as a performance SUV with exceptional dynamics, everyday usability, and bold design. Winning this award endorses the talent and great work of our teams that have delivered the world’s most practical sports car and Jaguar’s fastest-selling vehicle.”
Since last April, when the F-PACE was launched, Jaguar has built more than 170,000 of the SUVs across the world, and it's easy to see why so many people rate them so highly. The F-PACE is available in everything from a diesel version with incredible mileage, to a supercharged V6 capable of beastly horsepower.
What's not to love about it?
