Audi is taking in-car entertainment to the next level with the introduction of Spotify’s fully native in-car app. The new integration brings music videos, real-time lyrics, collaborative playlists, and more directly to compatible Audi infotainment systems.
Developed in collaboration with Spotify and automotive software company CARIAD, the app offers a more connected entertainment experience without requiring drivers to connect their smartphones. The announcement marks another step in Audi’s efforts to make its vehicles more intuitive, personalized, and digitally connected.

Unlike traditional smartphone-based integrations, the new Spotify app runs directly through the vehicle’s infotainment system using Android Automotive OS. Drivers can access the native Spotify app through the Audi Application Store on supported vehicles, with an interface designed specifically for Audi's displays and controls.

Together, these features make Spotify more than a music-streaming app, creating an interactive entertainment experience for drivers and passengers alike. Contact our teams to learn more about U.S. availability and compatibility with specific Audi models.

Audi's new Spotify integration is designed to adapt automatically to driving conditions. When the vehicle is moving, music videos and real-time lyrics are hidden from the center MMI display to help minimize driver distraction. Sign-in and certain settings functions are also unavailable while driving.
When parked, drivers can access the expanded Spotify experience, including video playback and lyrics, through the center display.
For vehicles equipped with a compatible front passenger display, supported video and lyric features can remain available to passengers while the vehicle is in motion. Available voice controls, including "Hey Audi," provide another way to interact with supported functions while driving.
