Crowning this extraordinary creation is a solid gold Spirit of Ecstasy, hallmarked, enamelled, and based on the original 1925 casting, a shining symbol of timeless elegance. Completing the experience, the Bespoke Gallery evokes the pages of a treasured book, with abstracted text formed in aluminium, chronicling a century of excellence and artistry that defines the Phantom name.

The woodwork of the Phantom Centenary Private Collection is the most intricate ever crafted by Rolls-Royce.

Developed over a year and rendered in stained Blackwood, the door panels illustrate the Phantom’s defining journeys through exquisite artistry. Each composition weaves together maps, routes, landscapes, floral motifs, and early motor cars to create an artwork brimming with Phantom’s heritage.

Details matter in this highly exclusive collection. The rear doors portray the coastline of Le Rayol-Canadel-sur-Mer, Sir Henry Royce’s cherished winter haven, while the right-hand front door depicts West Wittering, his summer retreat near Goodwood. The left-hand front door honors the first Goodwood-era Phantom’s 4,500-mile journey across Australia.

Each composition showcases an extraordinary fusion of 3D multi-directional marquetry, laser etching, 3D ink layering, and gold leafing, creating remarkable depth and texture. Motifs of maps, landscapes, flowers, and trees are etched into the wood at three distinct depths using a laser, bringing each scene to life. Inspired by the elegance of a black-and-white film star, the Phantom Centenary Private Collection channels Hollywood’s golden age, a time when the Phantom graced red carpets, chauffeured silver-screen legends, and embodied the glamour of its era.  Finished in a bespoke two-tone paint, the design echoes the flowing lines of 1930s Phantoms. The side body, presented in Super Champagne Crystal over Arctic White, contrasts beautifully with the Super Champagne Crystal over Black upper body, together capturing the essence of classic Rolls-Royce refinement.

Inspired by the first Spirit of Ecstasy ever fitted to a Phantom, designers created an homage cast in solid 18-carat gold and plated in 24-carat gold for a flawless, enduring finish.

Rear and Front Seats

The rear seats of the Phantom Centenary take inspiration from the 1926 “Phantom of Love,” which featured handwoven Aubusson tapestries. Each seat tells a story through three artistic layers. The first layer forms the background, showcasing high-resolution images that capture the Phantom’s history, from the brand’s original Conduit Street home in London to Henry Royce’s oil paintings of Southern France. The second layer continues the story with detailed illustrations of past Phantom models, celebrating the evolution of this iconic car. Finally, the top layer features elegant embroidery, symbolizing seven significant Phantom owners from every generation of the Phantom.

The front seats feature leather detailed with laser-etched artwork created from hand sketches by a Bespoke designer, reflecting the precision of traditional craftsmanship. Each motif carries a touch of history, celebrating 100 years of the Phantom. Among them is a rabbit, a subtle reference to “Roger Rabbit,” the codename for Rolls-Royce’s 2003 revival, and a seagull, which recalls the 1923 Phantom I prototype known as “Seagull.”
