Porsche introduces new generation PCCM Plus for 2009–2016 911, Cayman, and Boxster models.

Modern technology meets timeless Porsche design with the next generation of Porsche Classic Communication Management Plus (PCCM Plus). Designed for select Porsche 911, Boxster and Cayman models, the updated infotainment system introduces modern connectivity and enhanced functionality while preserving the original character and aesthetics of the vehicle’s interior.

Engineered to integrate seamlessly with the vehicle’s existing architecture, the new PCCM Plus features a seven-inch high-resolution touchscreen and supports operation through the multifunction steering wheel, where originally equipped. The system also retains personal vehicle settings and allows navigation directions and music information to appear in the instrument cluster, combining modern convenience with the familiar Porsche driving experience.

Which Porsche models are compatible with the next-generation PCCM Plus?

Porsche says the new systems are designed for the 987.2, 997.2, 981 and 991.1 generations, covering model years 2009 through 2016. Two versions address the relevant vehicle architectures. U.S. availability is expected through Porsche Centers in early 2027.

An owner should begin with the vehicle identification number, current audio system and installed options. What does next-generation PCCM Plus offer?

The latest PCCM Plus brings modern digital features to Porsche sports cars that are becoming contemporary classics. Wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ integration provides seamless smartphone connectivity through Bluetooth® and Wi-Fi. The system also supports YouTube viewing while parked, where permitted by local regulations, and allows owners to customize the on-screen vehicle display to match their Porsche’s exterior color.

PCCM Plus also introduces practical features that enhance the driving experience. Navigation map data enables the display of speed limits, while the trip computer provides access to oil temperature and pressure readings. For Boxster and Cayman models, the system builds on the existing parking assistance functionality by visually displaying nearby obstacles.

The updated navigation system features satellite imagery and a Scenic Roads function designed to help drivers discover picturesque, winding routes. Entertainment and connectivity upgrades include HD Radio, dual AM/FM tuners, Bluetooth® audio streaming with song and artist details, compatibility with existing audio systems, and built-in and external microphone support. Additional capabilities include a nano SIM card slot with 4G connectivity support for external media devices, along with over-the-air navigation map updates.
