Audi is preparing to take its first step onto Formula 1’s biggest stage with a debut scheduled for March 8 in Australia. At the heart of the Audi R26 is the AFR 26 Hybrid power unit, developed at Audi’s Neuburg an der Donau facility.
Speaking on the journey, Gernot Döllner, CEO of AUDI AG and Chairman of the Board of Management of Audi Motorsport AG, said: “It’s impressive to see how the intensive preparation is paying off and the performance of those involved is becoming evident. For the first time, the full power of the project is on display. We are ready and excited to inspire people around the world by taking part in Formula 1.”

At the Berling unveiling, the team’s new apparel and driver race suits, which will be worn by Audi drivers Gabriel Bortoleto of Brazil and Nico Hülkenberg of Germany during the 2026 season, were also unveiled. The reveal formed part of a carefully coordinated visual identity, developed specifically for the Audi Revolut F1 Team. This includes a distinctive corporate design with dedicated colors and a new typeface, creating a cohesive presence from the racetrack to social media while remaining unmistakably Audi. Titanium pays tribute to Audi’s motorsport heritage and symbolizes performance and technical precision, while the newly introduced Audi Red adds a bold, defining element to the team’s look.

The next key milestone for the Audi Revolut F1 Team will see the Audi R26 complete its final test laps ahead of Audi’s first-ever Formula 1 Grand Prix appearance. With major updates to Formula 1’s technical regulations, including a stronger focus on electric power and the introduction of sustainable fuels, the timing is ideal for Audi to enter the pinnacle of motorsport as a new competitor.
