indiGO Auto Group is proud to celebrate Karla Curtsinger, General Manager of Porsche San Francisco, for being recognized as one of the Influential Women of San Francisco in the August edition of Vogue (San Francisco market).
Karla’s journey in the automotive industry began in 1998 with a college job as a receptionist, but her commitment, determination, and vision propelled her through every position in Variable Operations. Over the past 27 years, she has redefined female leadership in the automotive world by building teams, breaking barriers, and driving results through relationships.
“I never just answered phones. I owned the interactions until someone else took ownership,” she shared in the Vogue feature, an approach that has shaped her career and her philosophy on leadership.
Karla joined indiGO Auto Group in December 2018 when the company acquired Jaguar Riverside. She successfully led the store through a major construction project and the introduction of the Land Rover brand to that market. In October 2022, she transitioned to open Porsche San Francisco, the brand’s first dealership located in the heart of the city.
Her leadership is guided by a deep commitment to culture, integrity, and purpose. “I want every woman and young professional to know that leadership in the auto industry is about breaking barriers with confidence, earning respect with integrity, and leading teams with purpose,” she told Vogue. “You belong wherever your ambition takes you”.

As General Manager of Porsche San Francisco, Karla took on the responsibility of launching the first Porsche dealership in San Francisco. Under her leadership, Porsche San Francisco was strategically launched to bring the iconic brand directly into the heart of the city. While there were other Porsche dealerships in the Bay Area, Porsche San Francisco marked the brand’s first-ever location within the city limits. Her approach ensured the dealership’s introduction was more than just a business expansion, it was a cultural and economic contribution to the San Francisco community.
For Karla, success has never been about “breaking into a boys’ club,” as she expressed to Vogue, but about leading with intention, empowering others, and focusing on how people feel before, during, and after each transaction. The culture she has cultivated at Porsche San Francisco reflects her belief that the people behind the numbers are what drive sustainable success: "The greatest lesson I’ve learned throughout my career is to never lose sight of the people behind the numbers,” she says. “Success comes from empowering others and driving results through relationships.”
indiGO Auto Group is honored to have Karla’s leadership and vision shaping the future of Porsche San Francisco and inspiring women and young professionals across the industry. Her recognition in Vogue is not just a personal milestone, it’s a testament to the transformative impact of leadership grounded in integrity, relationships, and purpose.
