Taycan and Macan Electric owners now have access to 23,500 Tesla Superchargers in North America.

As a Porsche Electric driver, you can count on Porsche’s commitment to both flexibility and convenience in your charging experience.

Access to the Tesla Supercharger network will be enabled through a Porsche-supplied NACS DC adapter, now available to Porsche customers. During this initial soft launch, which began in early September, charging can be activated via the Tesla app. In the coming months, customers will also be able to charge directly through the My Porsche app, with plug-and-charge functionality expected to follow in the near future.

How it works

Getting started is simple. To unlock Tesla Superchargers with the new NACS connection, Porsche drivers just need to download and register on the Tesla app to activate charging at Tesla stations.

For other networks—like Ionna and Electrify America equipped with NACS handles—activation happens right in the My Porsche app. From there, it’s just a matter of using the Porsche-supplied NACS DC adapter: connect it to the charging station cable, plug into your Porsche, and you’re ready to power up. Which cars can use a Tesla Supercharger?

Porsche is putting the power of choice right in the hands of its EV drivers. All model year 2026 Porsche Taycan and Macan Electric models will come standard with a Porsche NACS DC adapter, completely free of charge.

And there’s great news for current owners, too. Drivers of 2025 Taycan models and all existing Macan Electric owners won’t be left out—they’ll also receive a complimentary adapter. This group of drivers can simply open the My Porsche app to find step-by-step instructions on reserving their complimentary Porsche NACS DC adapter.

For Taycan drivers with model year 2024 and earlier, Porsche has made it easy to stay connected to the future of charging. You can purchase the Porsche NACS DC adapter through the Porsche Online Shop or at your local Porsche Center. Priced at $185, the Porsche NACS DC adapter lets Taycan and Macan Electric owners power up at DC fast chargers with NACS/J3400 compatible cables, including select Tesla Superchargers.

Charge Planning Software: What you need to know

Beginning with the 2026 model year, every Porsche Taycan and Macan Electric will be equipped with upgraded navigation that automatically includes the locations of additional charging stations.

For current drivers, the update is on its way: 2024 and 2025 Macan Electric models will receive the software enhancement before the end of the year, while 2025 and earlier Taycan variants will follow shortly after. Even better, all of these charge-planning updates will be delivered to customers at no cost.
