Every year, the Porsche Classic Restoration Challenge brings together dealerships and restoration experts from across the country to showcase their craftsmanship, attention to detail, and love for preserving Porsche heritage. The competition celebrates not only the timeless design of Porsche vehicles but also the artistry required to restore them to their former glory.

For 2025, two indiGO Auto Group dealerships—Porsche North Houston and Porsche San Francisco—have earned a coveted spot as finalists, proudly representing the passion and expertise that define our teams.

Porsche North Houston: Reviving a 2004 Porsche 911 GT3

Porsche North Houston rolled up its sleeves to take on the challenge of restoring a 2004 Porsche 911 GT3, a modern classic that embodies the raw performance and precision engineering that Porsche is known for.

The restoration process was about far more than polishing and perfecting. It required a deep understanding of the GT3’s racing DNA and an unwavering commitment to authenticity. On the West Coast, Porsche San Francisco took a different but equally ambitious path, choosing to restore a 1985 Porsche 928 S. Known as Porsche’s grand tourer of the 1980s, the 928 S represented a bold departure from the brand’s traditional rear-engine identity, blending high performance with everyday comfort.

Restoring this icon required the team to highlight its forward-thinking design while reviving its luxurious details. From carefully bringing the V8 powerhouse back to life to restoring the car’s distinctive styling, the project was a journey into Porsche’s daring side. Their efforts paid off in full as Porsche San Francisco proudly claimed the Restoration Award for Area West during Monterey Car Week.

For Porsche San Francisco, being named a finalist is a testament to their ability to balance history with innovation, proving that preserving Porsche’s bold experiments is just as important as safeguarding its legends. This recognition showcases their artistry and dedication to ensuring even the most unique Porsches continue to tell their story.
