Spotify and Land Rover Join Forces

Spotify and Land Rover have joined forces! Spotify is known as the world’s largest streaming service, and the Land Rover brand has launched a unique in-car Spotify app. Land Rover now holds the title of being the first to develop the app to offer in-car personalized playlists based on vehicle owners’ tastes and listening habits. The coming together of the two companies has created an impressive experience for in-car use. The smart technology will create “Just for You” playlists containing recommended tracks, which in the end, will save users time by skipping the hassle of creating their own playlists. If the driver is in a low-signal area, Spotify’s Offline Mode intelligently pre-loads content and will display only downloaded content when the driver has a poor internet connection. Peter Virk, Director of Connected Technologies and Apps at Jaguar Land Rover, said: “Spotify has more than 100 million subscribers, a portion of whom drive Land Rovers, so we recognized that Spotify was at the top of our customer’s apps wish list. The Spotify design team worked closely with us to create the best in-vehicle experience.” The Land Rover vehicles are technologically expanding and will only continue to advance.
