Porsche Cars North America (PCNA) has confirmed the Porsche Rennsport Reunion VII will take place Sept. 28 – Oct. 1 at the WeatherTech Raceway in Laguna Seca, California.
What makes Rennsport one of the most highly anticipated events in the automotive world? The fact that it doesn’t happen every year. So, the excitement grows as fanatics anxiously wait for the big day – and it’s finally happening again after five years.
In 2018, fans from around the world joined Porsche, flocking in record numbers at Laguna Seca for a truly special celebration of motorsport and road cars – all of which created a sense of community while celebrating the joy of driving.
This latest Porsche Cars North America hosted event brings together an extraordinary gathering of significant Porsche vintage and current race cars. The three-day program of on-track competition of legendary Porsche race cars is expected to be a unique and exhilarating experience.
But let’s not forget that Rennsport is not just an exhilarating competition. Attendees will have the opportunity to appreciate and admire a display of super rare Porsches of significant importance in the Motorsport world.
“It’s with a sense of excitement and anticipation that (we are) writing to invite you to join us at the seventh installment of the Rennsport Reunion – a profound moment coinciding with the global celebrations to mark 75 years of Porsche sports cars,” Porsche announced recently.

The 2023 Porsche Rennsport Reunion promises to celebrate not only Porsche’s past and present but to capture a glimpse into the future, on both track and road.
Conceived by racing great Brian Redman and Porsche Cars North America’s longstanding press spokesperson Bob Carlson in 2001, Rennsport was created to celebrate the great racing heritage of Porsche.
The duo envisioned an event at which drivers and enthusiasts could gather to celebrate racing and pay tribute to the people and cars that have helped build the Porsche legacy.
Since its first event at Lime Rock Park in Connecticut over two decades ago, Rennsport has continuously grown, drawing 80,000 fans over the course of the last event in 2018.
“We’re all excited to be able to announce the return of the Rennsport Reunion, which is always a highlight of Porsche motorsports enthusiasm and heritage,” said Kjell Gruner, President and CEO of Porsche Cars North America Inc.
“Rennsport Reunion has grown quickly over the years into a truly one-of-a-kind experience of sight, sound and emotions. For a few days, it feels like everyone thrilled by the brand is united in one place, on and off the track, as one Porsche family. We’ll announce the date and location soon, but this much I can share already: Our ambition is to make Rennsport Reunion VII the best one yet.”
This is a very special year for Porsche as the automaker celebrates its 75th anniversary of building legendary sports cars that have become iconic all over the world.
For Porsche and automobile enthusiasts, there’s no other place to be during these action-filled days of September.
Porsche Rennsport Reunion truly is a Porsche family reunion where you can stroll through the paddock admiring the race cars and talking to their owners, meander through the overflowing marketplace and car corrals or sit back and enjoy the race cars at speed.
The greatest of the greats from Porsche racing history and current factory drivers will be there as well.

Specifics concerning which cars and drivers will be on hand will be announced at a later date, the automaker told the media. But they promised 2023 will be on par with earlier world-class Rennsport gatherings.
“During the four-day event, fans of all ages will not only get to experience exciting racing action with vintage and contemporary Porsche race cars on track, but also be able to see many rare Porsche vehicles, enjoy new vehicle reveals, E-sports, fan zones, and take part in opportunities to meet and interact with drivers as they share their exciting racing experiences,” Porsche promised. “Rennsport Reunion will also offer a host of other off-track activities.”
