Size and Power
The 103EX is long, as in 19.4 feet long. The lines are bold and the scale is vast. Even though the vehicle is fully electric its high-tech grille is perfectly Rolls-Royce in appearance. This EV has one electric motor powering the front wheels and a second electric motor that drives the rear. The lack of a gasoline-powered engine means there is more room for luggage.
New Era of Coach Building
Welcome to what Rolls-Royce calls its “advanced lightweight electric platform.” With the 103EX there’s plenty of room for endless bespoke coachbuilding. That means you, as the customer, can decide exactly what materials to use. You also get to decide on the overall shape of the car and detailing that goes into the interior, including the roof, which currently allows customers to fully stand up before exiting through the single rear-hinged door.
Luxurious Minimalism
Can something be both luxurious and minimalistic? The 103EX proves that it’s certainly possible. The streamlined interior includes a two-seat couch upholstered in silk and a hand-twisted silk carpet. There’s a lavish entertainment screen as well as an incredible analog clock. Steering wheels and instruments become “completely superfluous,” Rolls says, because technology will become hidden. Instead, Eleanor will serve as your personal assistant as you travel. Oh, and the 103EX will take you to your pre-programmed destination, so steering won’t be required.
