“This planning round bears a clear signature: We are taking a very systematic approach to electric mobility and will be much more focused in the future. We are consistently prioritizing our resources for future-oriented products and services that are highly attractive and relevant to the market,” according to Bram Schot, temporary chairman of the Board of Management of Audi.

With new strict emissions regulations on the automobile industry, more brands are focusing on EVs.

The European Union has been the most aggressive with its regulations, ordering automakers to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by a whopping 40 percent.

For 2023 alone, Audi says, there will be a number of new features available on the new Audi EV line –  including an updated infotainment system, new safety features, and even a new Virtual Reality System.

And there’s good news for those who already own an Audi. The company says it even plans to release updates for its existing models that will improve performance and add a number of features.

And tomorrow is already here when it comes to the world of the new Audi EV line.

The 2022 e-tron SUV, for instance, is all-electric and represents the future of this Audi EV universe.

With its streamlined, modern-looking interior and top-notch performance and handling – as well as quick-charging ability – the Audi e-tron makes sense in today’s fast-changing world.

Electronic all-wheel drive is provided by two electric motors – one in the front and one in the rear of the car. Under normal driving circumstances, they churn out a combined 355 hp and 414 lb-feet of torque. Sport mode quickly unleashes 402 horsepower and 490 pound-feet.

The e-tron’s sophisticated interior includes plenty of cutting-edge technology, including a dashboard carrying multiple optional high-resolution screens with a Virtual Cockpit digital gauge cluster. You get to live out that futuristic fantasy in style without sacrificing comfort, performance, and utility. All starting at $65,900.

Features of the Audi e-tron:

  • It’s everything you’d expect from an Audi – sophisticated design, comfort, and performance and it’s fully electric.
  • Audi’s state-of-the-art technology reigns supreme inside the e-tron and includes a digital gauge display that is standard in all models as well as a large infotainment touchscreen.
  • Every e-tron’s infotainment system includes dual touchscreens, with a 10.1-inch display on top and an 8.8-inch below.
  • A variety of options within the various packages of the 2022 Audi e-tron® include massaging front seats as well as a head-up display. The base model includes an impressive 29 cubic feet behind the back row and 57 cubic feet with the seatbacks folded down.
  • Some states still offer a $7,500 tax credit or other financial incentives on electric vehicles that can help lower the total ownership cost of the e-tron®.
