The Porsche Mission X Concept car will make its debut in the U.S. this fall at Rennsport Reunion 7, hosted at Weathertech Raceway Laguna Seca near Monterey, California, from September 28 to October 1.
Drawing inspiration from iconic Porsche hypercars like the 959, Carrera GT, and 918 Spyder, the Mission X Concept car represents a captivating amalgamation of ideas, offering a glimpse into the potential design of a futuristic Porsche hypercar.
As a concept, Mission X envisions being the swiftest road-legal vehicle to conquer the Nürburgring-Nordschleife, boasting an impressive power-to-weight ratio of approximately one hp per 2.2 pounds.
It promises to achieve extraordinary downforce levels, surpassing even the current 911 GT3 RS, while its advanced 900-volt system architecture ensures significantly improved charging performance.
The Mission X is a dramatic-looking two-seater, technology beacon for the sports car of the future. It picks up the torch of iconic sports cars of decades past.
A special date: 75 years ago, on 8 June 1948, the 356 ‘No. 1’ Roadster became the first automobile bearing the name Porsche to receive its general operating permit. This was the birth of the sports car brand.
