Felipe Nasr battled No. 31 Cadillac, Tom Blomquist, ultimately securing the victory for Porsche.

The outcome remained uncertain until the checkered flag waved on Sunday afternoon. Nasr engaged in a challenging duel with Briton Tom Blomquist behind the wheel of a Cadillac prototype as the clock neared the completion of the 24-hour endurance race.

In the final sprint, the Brazilian grappled with worsening tire conditions but successfully held off his competitors to secure his first overall victory at Daytona. Nasr took the lead during a pit stop under yellow on Lap 768 with just over 45 minutes left. After a restart with 31 minutes remaining, Nasr fended off several challenges and overcame all obstacles, ultimately securing P1.

Nasr expressed his excitement over the win, “Wow! Right after crossing the finish line, I had to take a moment and let it all sink in. To have the decision in a 24-hour race come down to the very last few meters in a head-to-head duel – unbelievable. The Cadillac was very strong, especially in the final phase as temperatures rose. We gave everything tactically and driving-wise to take this victory. It worked. I’m super proud of everyone in the team.”
