The Volkswagen ID.4 provides the flexibility to choose from either 62 kWh or 82 kWh batteries, along with the choice of either rear-wheel or all-wheel drive.
The 2023 ID.4 is currently available with two battery sizes and two powertrain options. The entry-level ID.4 Standard, equipped with a 62 kWh battery and boasting an EPA-estimated range of 209 miles, starts at an MSRP of $38,995. For those seeking an extended range, the ID.4 Pro, featuring an 82 kWh battery with an EPA-estimated range of 275 miles, starts at $43,995. Both models are powered by a single permanent magnet synchronous motor, delivering 201 horsepower to the rear wheels.
For enthusiasts of all-wheel drive, the ID.4 AWD Pro models, starting at $47,795, incorporate an additional asynchronous motor on the front axle. This upgrade results in a maximum power output of 295 horsepower, all-wheel-drive capability, and an EPA-estimated range of 255 miles.
The 2023 ID.4 Standard and S variants come with a 140-kW DC fast-charging rate, while the Pro models, featuring the larger 82 kWh battery, boast an upgraded 170-kW DC fast-charging speed compared to the 2022 version. This enhancement enables all ID.4 Pro trims to DC fast charge from 10-80% state of charge in approximately 30 minutes.
Enjoying the ownership experience of an ID.4 has never been more convenient, thanks to the inclusion of three years of complimentary 30-minute charging sessions at Electrify America DC fast chargers. This added benefit aims to instill confidence in the vehicle’s range capabilities.
