The SUV has become the vehicle of choice for many consumers, with just under half of all models purchased today being SUVs.

This represents a significant increase from 2011 when SUVs accounted for only 24 percent of all vehicles sold worldwide.

This trend has impacted every aspect of the auto industry, from manufacturers to dealerships.

One of the reasons for the popularity of SUVs is their versatility.

They offer more space for passengers and cargo, which makes them a practical choice for families. Additionally, many consumers appreciate the added safety and security that comes with driving a larger vehicle.

One thing is clear: SUVs are here to stay.

From factory workers to billionaires, everyone is clamoring for an SUV.

And luxury SUVs are vehicles like no other. And in today’s world, there are several contenders for the title of the most luxurious SUV in the world.

  3. Ferrari Purosangue. Ok so we may be jumping the gun on this one since it’s not out yet, but the 2024 Ferrari Purosangue, which is Italian for “pure blood,” is slated to begin deliveries soon. What sets it apart? Well, for starters, speed. The Italian automaker’s first SUV is powered by a 715-horsepower V12 engine – and there’s a hybrid version that combines a V8 with an electric motor. Two fully electric models are also in development and will hit the market in the coming years. “I’ve driven it several times in the hills of Maranello,” Ferrari CEO Benedetto Vigna told the media recently. “And I can testify that the driving experience is really astonishing.” In fact, he said it will exceed all expectations. SUV stands for Sports Utility Vehicle – but not every luxury car maker wants to use that term to describe its vehicles.

BMW, for instance,  prefers the term Sports Activity Vehicles and Rolls-Royce likes the term “high-sided vehicle.” Whatever you call them, they are sought after by everyone from the middle class to the ultra rich.

But let’s get back to the top of that list.

The Rolls-Royce Cullinan with the Black Badge treatment starts at $754,000. It’s been described as “opulence on wheels”  But if you happen to be around anyone from Goodwood be sure to call it a “high-sided vehicle” to make sure you don’t confuse it with one of its traditional limousines, coupes, or convertibles.

Keep in mind that $754,000 is just the starting price – before you add any special features or personalize it to fit your whims. It’s not uncommon for that price tag to climb several hundred thousand dollars.

The Cullinan is literally at the apex of the SUV world – the actual Rolls-Royce of sport utility vehicles.

It delivers a combined sense of luxury and utility along with a dizzying array of customizable features that have made the Cullinan the company’s bestseller.
