The end of the Bentley Continental W12 marks the end of an era for one of the most iconic luxury cars in the world.

Bentley Motors has announced that it will be discontinuing the production of the GT W12 version of the Continental grand tourer, citing a shift towards sustainable and electrified vehicles. 

With its powerful engine, sleek design, and luxurious interior, the Continental GT W12 has been a staple in the Bentley lineup for nearly two decades – and a favorite among car enthusiasts and luxury car buyers worldwide. While the Continental W12 may be going away, Bentley is not abandoning its commitment to luxury and performance. 

The company has introduced several new models that promise to deliver the same level of luxury and performance that the Bentley Continental GT W12 was known for, including the new Flying Spur and the Bentayga SUV.

The last Continental GT W12 will roll off the assembly line in 2022, ending a production run that has lasted for nearly two decades. The move to a hybrid powertrain is part of Bentley’s larger commitment to sustainability and reducing its carbon footprint. The company has pledged to be carbon neutral by 2030, and the new hybrid Continental GT is just one step in that direction.
